ViJournal iPhone App Problems

Just posted the entry below in another of my blogs and thought it might be relevant here.

Just made an entry in ViJournal on my iPhone and synced with my iMac to find that it had disappeared, deleted down the chute! Then after trying to add a new entry on the desktop version of ViJournal could not get it to automatically insert the time in the header. I am so frustrated with both versions of the app that I tried to report a problem with Apple and ask for a refund but even that is not straightforward When I clicked on report a problem from the email invoice from Apple, it opened the app store in iTunes and left no way to add a comment. All there was, was a button stating ‘Done’! So I’m really pissed off with the whole thing and especially after typing a long entry in the iPhone version of the app - which is not the easiest way to type! Now it’s getting worse. I am in the middle of writing these comments to be interrupted by MobileMe which took over my computer whilst syncing! Not everything Apple is good!

Anyway I have discarded ViJournal from my iPhone and iMac and will continue to use MacJournal on the iMac (an iPhone version is being produced by them though time keeps passing by with no sigh yet) and BlogPress on the iPhone. Then I can simply keep a record of my journal on Google Blogger. Both of those apps work fine and although they do not sync with each other, I can upload to Blogger where there is then an archive. Plus, MacJournal allows me to download entries from Blogger into the app so that I can keep an archive on my iMac. Sorted! But I do have problems with photos and movies in MacJournal - the method to enter them is difficult to understand and they do not always upload properly. But I will persevere.

And, at least MacJournal utilises the Mac Spellchecker. ViJournal does not and as my typing is bad, then it is very useful to have my typos picked up.
